Women's Health

A Woman's Body is as Unique and Special as She is!

As a woman matures, her physical health requirements change. The body's language is often quite vague and symptoms can mean many things. Many illnesses, both major and minor, are easier to handle if caught early. And a diagnosis gives you the comfort of being certain what is and is not wrong.

Obstetrics:

Health Tips

Eat smaller amounts of everything—especially before bed as you do not need the extra energy at night.

Avoid eating large amounts of carbohydrates at night.

No refined carbohydrates.

Make breakfast your main meal of the day.

Make sure you have an apple or a fresh vegetable juice in between breakfast / lunch / dinner to maintain metabolism.

Do 30 minutes of exercise a day plus incorporate weight training. Large muscle mass burns fat.

Avoid dairy products—you can easily get calcium from other sources.

Take your time when you eat—it takes the brain about 15 minutes to recognize it is full!

Include in your diet essential fatty acids from omega 3 and 6—they help convert the bad fats (LDLs) to good ones (HDLs).

Supplement diet with good multivitamins.

At SEIMC all doctors and therapists work closely with each other to ensure each patient receives the most appropriate and optimum care. Weight Loss Programs are available. For an appointment, please call (86 21) 5879-9999.
