Health Tips

Move Around
Make it a daily practice to find ways to move your body! Climb stairs if given a choice between that or the escalator, walk your dog, chase your kidsĄ Anything that moves your limbs is not only a fitness tool, itĄ¯s a stress reliever!

Cut Fat
Avoid the obvious such as fried foods, oily entrees, fatty meats, and opt for low-fat versions of cheese, milk and cream.

Quit Smoking
It's not supposed to be easy to quit, but isn't your life worth it? For parents, watch out for "idol" influences and warn your kids of the false romance of celebrity smokers!

Reduce Stress
Easier said than done, but in Shanghai methods are more accessible. Get a massage, a facial or a pedicure. Attend a traditional Chinese medicine seminar. Meditate. Think positive thoughts, and find some "me" time when possible!

Protect Yourself from Pollution
Avoid the smog and exercise indoors. Purchase indoor plants for your home. Make sure to clean your ventilation system filters on a regular basis.

Wear Your Seatbelt
This one is odd for those who have been in Shanghai for a while. However, the statistics show that seat belts add to longevity and help alleviate potential injuries in car crashes. Buckle down and buckle up!
