Paul Workman (U.S.)
M.P.H.
Paul Workman has joined the management team at SEIMC from Los Angeles, California. He comes to Shanghai from Pacific Alliance Medical Center, the American partner of the SEIMC Joint Venture. For the past 8 years he has been the administrator of 5 outpatient, family practice clinics and has overseen the radiology department. Paul has worked in healthcare field since 1970 and took on his first management position in 1976. Over the past 31 years he has managed physician practices and clinics, outpatient surgery centers and hospital departments. In 1981 he completed his Masters Degree in Public Health at UCLA with a specialty in Family & International Health.
In addition to travel he especially enjoys basketball, snow skiing and reading American history & economics. His favorite past time is spending time with his family, wife Marisel and children Maureen and Sam. |

Health Seminars Again!!
Shanghai East International Medical Center is resuming its health seminars in August 2007, after a short but intense vacation. SEIMC has got everything ready to recommence its health seminars. This season will feature more topics and doctors which will be more suitable for specific groups such as women's clubs, children, schools and companies. All are welcome to listen and learn from some of our specialists who are: Dr. Mahady (Senior OB/Gyn), Dr. Zhang (Well-known doctor in Traditional Chinese Medicine) and Dr. Gipson (Chiropractor) and its Chiropractic Care Department. |

Maternity Course
On 4th of Aug. an antenatal education class was re-established at SEIMC for prospective parents. It was led by our obstetric team and pediatrician. The couples were informed about what to expect in late pregnancy and labour and care of the newborn baby. A lively discussion took place. Our picture shows Dr. Mahady addressing the class. Further classes will be held on a regular basis.
