Health Talks & Presentations

Staying healthy and fit easily gets overlooked, especially in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. To remind everyone about the importance of good health, Shanghai East International Medical Center regularly joins the many expatriate groups and organizations in Shanghai for informative health talks and presentations.

Talks may also be held at Shanghai East International Medical Center. Many groups find this alternative very convenient as it allows group members to tour the facility. Past health talks and presentations have included Breast Cancer Awareness, Maternity Care, Women's Health, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Healthy Living.

School Orientations & Parent Information Days

Locating accessible, quality healthcare is always a top priority for parents. Many international schools find that school orientation and parent information days are the perfect place to address and alleviate these concerns. Shanghai East International Medical Center offers a variety of helpful options to inform and guide parents and educators alike in making well-informed decisions about medical care. Past activities have included brochures and information leaflets, healthcare information booths, and presentations on the healthcare choices available in Shanghai.

Healthcare Booths & Tables

Shanghai East International Medical Center can host a booth or table at your next event to offer general medical information, simple measurement of vital signs, specific healthcare advice related to a particular theme, or an educational fun zone that includes games and prizes for children. Every booth or table will also be staffed by professionals who can answer questions about health and well-being.

School Field Trips & Learning Opportunities

Many international schools find that visiting a hospital is an exciting and informative experience for students (and teachers!) and reduces anxiety when visiting the doctor. School field trips to Shanghai East International Medical Center give students the special opportunity to tour at a functioning medical facility. One of our medical professionals can also make a presentation about a topic of interest. Past topics have included sports injury prevention and the functioning of heart and lungs.

Since inception of Junior Achievement China, we have supported Job Shadow Day, an annual event which provides select students the chance to see the working world first-hand. Students who have visited Shanghai East International Medical Center as part of this program learn more about the medical profession, the differences between healthcare provided in China vs. other parts of the world, and what career they might like to pursue in the future.

Youth Sports Leagues

As part of our commitment to an active, happy and healthy childhood, Shanghai East International Medical Center is a proud sponsor of Active Kidz Shanghai, a youth sports league that encourages physical activity and competitive spirit through team sports.
