Ophthalmology
Dr. Liu has studied in the headquarters of Shinagawa Ophthalmology in Tokyo, Japan; School of Optometry in the State University of New York (SUNY), New England College of Optometry (NECO), and University of Pittsburgh (PITT) Eye Center.
Dr. Liu was one of the earliest surgeons who conducted femtosecond laser-assisted LASIK (FS-LASIK), wavefront-guided LASIK (WF-LASIK) and presbyopia correction surgeries. She was also among the earliest international scholars who used femtosecond laser for corneal stromal lens transplantation researches. Her specialties include: Excimer laser and femtosecond laser for the treatment of myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism, and presbyopia; Corneal collagen crosslinking for keratoconus; Diagnosis and treatment of dry eyes; Comprehensive treatment of various kinds of refractive errors, etc.
Dr. Liu has worked before as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of the Shanghai Shinagawa Ophthalmology Clinic – the first foreign-funded ophthalmic specialized medical institution in China; Operation Manager of Vision Eye Care Hospital in Shanghai, which is the China branch of the European Optegra Medical Group; Operation Director of Mei Shi Mei Jing Ophthalmology Clinic Department of Shanghai New Hongqiao International Medical Center; Operation Director of Shanghai ShenYuan Rehabilitation Hospital under the project of TaiKang Group Medical Care combined with nursing care project. She is a member of Ophthalmological Committee of Chinese Medical Doctor Association; team leader of the of the 2nd “Rising Stars” Talent Cultivation Program for Future Vision Care Leadership.
