1Dr. Beng Lin Liam (Singapore)
Internal Medicine, Respiratory Specialist

Dr. Liam joined the staff of Shanghai East International Medical Center in August 2011. He graduated from the National University of Singapore, and possesses a degree in Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom. He has also received training as a Fellow in Pulmonary Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic in the United States.

Dr. Liam has previously been deployed for humanitarian medical missions and commanded the Singapore component of the Australian-Singapore Hospital during INTERFET operations in East Timor, 1999. He held several medical command positions in the Singapore Armed Forces before retiring as a Colonel in 2006. He has been awarded operational service medals by the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Australia and Singapore. He has also been awarded the Public Administration Medal by Singapore for his contribution to Singapore’s efforts in overcoming the SARS epidemic in 2002. Dr. Liam has also given trainings in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (Instructor).

He speaks English and Mandarin.

   
Dr. Qiang Li (China)
Pulmonology

Dr. Li has been been engaged in fundamental and clinical research of respiratory diseases of lung tumors, lung diseases and bronchial asthma, etc. He has developed a distinctive specialty in terms of diagnosis and treatment for complex airway lesions, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases(COPD), severe respiratory infection, respiratory failure, rare respiratory diseases, pain relief, etc. He is the director of the Respiratory Department and has led his team successfully rescued patients in emergency or complicated situations.

Dr. Li has participated in advanced research projects and won numerous awards. He has published dozens of papers in SCI; edited and published monographs such as “Interventional Diagnosis and Treatment of Respiratory Disease”, “Respiratory Endoscopy”, “Bronchioloalveolar Carcinoma”, “Diagnosis and Analysis of Difficult and Uncommon diseases of the Respiratory System”, and so on. He is also a member of editorial boards of various academic journals including the Chinese Journal of Internal Medicine, Chinese Journal of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases, Chinese Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, China Yearbook of Internal Medicine- Respiratory Specialty.

Dr. Li is Director of the World Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (WABIP); Deputy Head of the Interventional Respiratory Diseases Branch of Chinese Medical Association; Standing committee member of the Committee of Minimally Invasive Treatment in Oncology of China Anti-Cancer Association; Deputy Director of the Respiratory Diseases Branch of Shanghai Medical Association; Deputy Director of Thoracic Cancer Specialty Committee of Shanghai Anti-cancer Association; Director of Training Base for Respiratory Endoscopy Specialist of the Ministry of Health.

Dr. Yuanyuan Wang (China)
Respiratory

Dr. Wang is skilled in diagnosis of benign and malignant pulmonary nodules; Precision treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer, and standardized individualized management throughout the process; Clinical diagnosis, treatment, management, and rehabilitation of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Her research direction is microenvironment & tumor resistance and metastasis.

Dr. Wang is a lecturer, a senior visiting scholar at Mayo Clinic, United States. She has published over 10 articles as the first/corresponding author, participated in 6 national and municipal projects such as the National Natural Science Project, obtained 1 national patent, and published 1 monograph. She serves as a member of the Respiratory Disease Branch of the Shanghai Medical Association and a young member of the Lung Cancer Special Committee of the China Medical Education Association.

Dr. Qinghua Liu (China)
Respiratory

Dr. Liu received her Doctor of Medicine Degree at Fudan University. She was also a visiting scholar at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in the United States.

Dr. Liu is specialized in pulmonary infection, pleural disease, treatment of complex and critical respiratory diseases. She incorporates interventional diagnosis and techniques treatment of pulmonary infection, pleural disease, lung tumor, large airway disease, difficult and critical respiratory diseases, interstitial lung disease, asthma, and so on. She has a sincere passion for medicine and advocate humanistic medicine.

Dr. Liu is active in different organizations such as being: Executive Vice Chairman of Respiratory Disease Interventional Physician Branch, Chairman of the Youth Committee, Chairman of Grass-Roots Committee of the Provincial Medical Association; Member of the Respiratory Branch’s Interventional Group of the Shanghai Medical Association; Young member of the Respiratory Branch, Member of the Infectious Group, Respiratory Endoscopy Special Committee Member of the Chinese Medical Association, and so on.

Dr. Xue Dong (China)
Respiratory

Doctor Xue Dong is skilled in diagnosis and treatment of common respiratory diseases such as respiratory failure, hemoptysis, upper respiratory tract infections, interstitial lung disease, spontaneous pneumothorax, obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, colds, pulmonary heart disease, dyspnea, chest pain, fever, spontaneous pneumothorax, tuberculosis pleurisy, purulent pleurisy, etc.

Doctor Dong speaks Mandarin and English.

 
Dr. Yinqun Ji (China)
Respiratory

Dr. Ji graduated from Peking Union Medical College Hospital and further studied at Baylor College of Medicine in the United States.

Dr Ji is experienced in early identification and standardized diagnosis and treatment of various complex and difficult pulmonary vascular diseases, diagnosis and treatment of high-risk pulmonary embolism and pulmonary arterial hypertension crisis, diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary diseases related to connective tissue diseases. Her research direction includes basic and clinical research on chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension, basic and clinical research on stem cell therapy for pulmonary arterial hypertension.

Director Ji is the deputy leader of the Pulmonary Vascular Disease Group of the Respiratory Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Vice Chairman of the Pulmonary Vascular Disease Working Committee of the Respiratory Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and Evaluation Expert for the National Capacity Building Project for the Prevention and Treatment of Pulmonary Embolism and Deep Venous Thrombosis. She participated in the compilation of multiple works, guides, and textbooks.

Dr Ji has been awarded the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in Chinese Medicine; Third Prize of Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award; Second Prize of Municipal Government Scientific and Technological Progress, etc.
